Frequently Asked Questions

No. CarTurf was established in 2023. Licensed partner offices handle local registration work. You remain the legal owner; CarTurf acts as Halter (registered holder) where that structure applies. Verified reviews on TripAdvisor, Trustpilot, and Google.

Yes. CarTurf registration gives you EU plates valid across all 27 EU countries and beyond — including the EEA, UK, and many other destinations customers travel to. Follow each country's local entry rules; the plates themselves are recognised for cross-border travel.

You still own your car. You keep the bill of sale and certificate of ownership from the purchase. CarTurf is the Halter (custodian), not the owner. If we closed tomorrow, you would register the car elsewhere using your ownership documents. The transition is straightforward.

Autopilot: €99/mo (vehicles up to €100,000), €149/mo Plus (€100,000–€250,000), €199/mo Premium (€250,000–€500,000), or €299/mo Lux (up to €1,000,000). Moto: €49/mo Basic or €79/mo Plus. One-time €249 setup on all plans. Insurance runs about €700–€3,000 per year depending on vehicle and coverage. Vehicle tax is typically €150–€300 per year and is billed separately.

Yes, of course. It's yours to sell. You have the flexibility to sell it yourself anywhere you'd like. If selling outside of the EU, the new owner will most likely need to pay import fees. CarTurf offers a vehicle selling service — our team can handle the sale. CarTurf charges a commission of €500 plus 5% of the sales price; washing and cleaning to prepare the vehicle for sale may be billed separately as needed. Before the sale, your vehicle needs to be parked off public roads, deregistered, and then we can finalize the sale.
